Argand Plane

A complex number z=x+iyz = x + iy is essentially a coordinate in 2D space. Instead of a simple number line, we use the Argand Plane.

The distance from the origin to zz is the modulus, defined as: z=x2+y2|z| = \sqrt{x^2 + y^2}
